Straight outta the ashes of what hip-hop use to be rises a phoenix, a bright ray of hope in an industry that unfortunately chooses economics over morality. Born in the 70’s comes John Ajilore.
The Ghetto Patron Saint, Johnald.
He’s a combination of Liberia, Nigeria, and the United States in one man. His music contains that soulful 70’s sound of the Sugarhill Gang, the 80’s sound of Public Enemy, the 90’s sound of Tupac, and to the millennium flow where there’s been so much trash out its hard to define this period. His form of hip-hop is Conglomeracy. His first release, Conglomeracy Volume 1 is an introduction.
I’m a sum it up in these words; it’s said that on Frederick Douglas’s death bed he uttered with his last breath to a loyal supporter and friend:
“Agitate, Agitate, Agitate.” |
